Northrop Grumman will provide advisory and assistance services to the U.S. Air Force’s B-2 bomber program under a five-year, $16 million contract.

The company will support aircraft engineering work for a supply chain management group, the Department of Defense said Friday.

USAF is obligating an initial $2.7 million from the service branch’s fiscal 2023 operation and maintenance funds on the award.

Work under the firm-fixed-price contract will take place in McLean, Virginia, through Sept. 27, 2028.

The Air Force Sustainment Center at the Tinker AF Base in Oklahoma conducted a competitive acquisition process and received one bid.

In August 2022, Northrop said the B-2 Spirit fleet was being modernized to employ a radar-aided targeting system and a cryptographic platform for communications security.
